Important Changes to the RATS Codeplug Project

Beginning with the DMRVA2.4 codeplug series (published 3/1/2025) . . .

• Incremental update files for the CS750 and CS800D series are discontinued. 

  • Activity logs indicate these were rarely downloaded, and their maintenance adds unnecessary complexity to the project.

• Motorola support has changed to more closely mirror our distribution of the CS750 and CS800D codeplugs:

  • We now offer (only) a Full XPR7550e codeplug and instructions on converting this file to other Motorola models using CPS 2.0.

  • Pre-converted codeplugs for other models have been discontinued.

  • We will continue to offer member-contributed Motorola codeplugs for various other models, including the previous-generation CPS 16.

The official RATS codeplug offerings now consist of:

• Master "Full" codeplugs for the CS750 (monoband) and CS800D (dual-band), which can be converted to 30+ other models with N0GSG DMR Contact Manager

• A master "Full" codeplug for the XPR7550e which can be converted to work with any other Motorola DMR model using CPS 2.0.  Includes the full DMRVA+HEARS system plus four UHF Brandmeister systems in the Hampton Roads region of southeast Virginia.

• "Limited" codeplugs supporting the RVA Metro repeater cluster on about 15 popular non-Motorola models not convertible from our CS750/CS800D masters

• Our current assortment of specialty codeplugs for neighboring DMR systems
