In order for us to support a radio, the radio and CPS must meet these requirements. Our Supported Radios List shows our reason for not supporting a radio.
For "Full" and Specialty Codeplug Support
► Radio must be a DMR Tier II (dual-timeslot) transceiver for the 70cm band
► Radio must have capacity for at least 8 zones and 160 channels
► CPS must be freely available for public download; no passwords or restrictions
► CPS must be functional, and must utilize a file format recognized by N0GSG
For LTD Codeplug Support
► Radio must be a DMR Tier II (dual-timeslot) transceiver for the 70cm band
► Radio must have capacity for at least 8 zones and 160 channels
► CPS must be freely available for public download; no passwords or restrictions
► CPS must be functional, with reliable CSV import/export functionality
Compatibility with N0GSG DMR Contact Manager guarantees the broadest support for our codeplug files.
Working CSV import/export is crucial in non-N0GSG CPS applications since this allows us to rapidly build and maintain codeplugs through the use of Excel-based file templates and simple conversion scripts. Without this, codeplug creation is still possible, but the added labor and tedium of manually building the files line-by-line make these radios impractical for us to support.
We aren't just building codeplugs; we're committing to maintaining them long-term. Without either N0GSG compatibility or working CSV import/export, both the initial creation and long-term maintenance become too tedious and time consuming for us to commit to supporting these models.
