CS750, CS800D, and Moto440 codeplugs have been updated to DMRVA2.6 (July 2025) | Now available: Pre-converted file for the AT-D168UV
Many of our DMRVA codeplugs include a special Quiet channel.
► The Quiet channel has no talkgroup associated with it. You cannot transmit directly on this channel.
► This channel idles the radio on timeslot 1 of the selected repeater, listening for text messages, direct radio-to-radio ("private") calls, and All Call broadcasts.
► The radio will not respond to calls on any talkgroups and no scan list is provided for this channel.
The Quiet channel is located two channels below Clear Timeslot in each DMRVA zone.
Switch to the Quiet channel anytime you want to be available for direct contact (calls or messages) but you don't want to hear other talkgroup chatter, such as overnight.
Some radios, such as certain Anytone models, do not allow contactless channels. These radios will default to a different talkgroup on Quiet channels, usually the lowest-numbered talkgroup in the codeplug. For RATS codeplugs, this is typically talkgroup 99 (Simplex). To determine how Quiet channels will work on your radio, inspect a channel and look at the associated contact (talkgroup). If that talkgroup is in use within that zone, you may wish to select a different talkgroup, or pick a random unused talkgroup number for Quiet channel operation.
