Download our full channel database to select radios with our new DMR Data File Generator. New model support added daily.
Enjoy public access to this tool April 3 through 5, no RATS membership or guest login required.
The RATS DMR Data File Generator is a web-based utility that makes CSV and Excel data files for import directly into CPS applications. It gives RATS members with supported radios access to our entire channel library.
This tool will generate contacts (talkgroups) and channels for the selected zones. If the CPS supports zone import/export, we'll build a zone file, too. If not, we'll give step-by-step instructions for adding channels to zones, and we'll even make a printable Zone Creation Checklist to mark off channels and zones as you go.

Additional model support for Baofeng, Anytone, Radioddity, Connect Systems
New model support is being implemented almost daily.
RATS members have full system access. Non-members sign in as "guest" with your working email address to receive limited access to selected zones.
Our complete DMR channel database is loaded, offering access to the full DMRVA statewide network of 30+ repeaters as well as DMR networks in neighboring states such as Interstate, NCPRN, NC4ES, SCHEART, and HEARS-NC. As of April 1, our database contains 1,842 channels in 168 zones and 9 datasets.
These files offer the same channel arrangement and talkgroup lineup as the other codeplugs on this site, except for the recent addition of Roanoke Metro to the Hampton Roads Brandmeister zones which is not yet reflected in any of our pre-built codeplugs.
Non-DMRVA zones include talkgroups primarily of interest to Virginia amateurs wanting to make contact back home to the DMRVA network. Larger systems like Interstate offer many more talkgroups which are not included in our files. For maximum hardware compatibility, RATS codeplugs are limited to 16 channels per zone.
Our Connect Systems CS750/CS800D and Moto440 codeplugs include an automatic "Monitor All" function tied to the Clear Timeslot channel in each zone. Our File Generator can (but currently does not) generate most of the bits required to enable this feature. Therefor, you won't see:
Monitor TS1 or Monitor TS2 channels
Monitor All scan lists for each zone
TS1 and TS2 receive group lists
If you'd like to see this feature incorporated into the DMR File Generator, tell the developer.
The contact, zone, and channel files are currently named after the conversion module which generated the files. Thus, for example, Alinco DJ-MD5 files will have “Anytone 878” in the name, although they’ll work fine on the DJ-MD5. This behavior will be changed in a few days so that the downloaded files have names that reflect the actual selected model.
Intermittent problems with file generation are being encountered due to timeouts in back-end scripts. This is most commonly seen with model selections that produce a Zone Creation Checklist PDF, resulting in a "Documents" failure message. Simply re-submit the request. A code change is planned which will automatically re-submit failed conversion processes.
Print instructions. Add a button to print only the instructions section of the conversion module HTML output.
Under consideration: Optional "Extra Channels" feature for larger systems like Interstate and radios that support zones larger than 16 channels.
Under consideration: Personal zones and channels. This would give the ability to upload a data file prior to running the conversion and have the user's data merged into ours, producing an output file that contains a combination of our data and the user's channels.
